Prepare for Takeoff with Jet Fuel from Arete

Take off with Jet Fuel, aka "G6," a sativa-dominant hybrid strain that lives up to its name in every way. With a high-octane 70/30 ratio of sativa to indica, this strain will have you soaring through your day.

There are a lot of key traits in this batch of Jet Fuel that absolutely align with what you would expect the strain to deliver: an intense cerebral rush leading to a very energetic, focused, and creative high, which makes it a preferred choice for daytime use or when high productivity is desired.

Effects

Jet Fuel offers a sharp, crisp smoke, pleasing the palate with primary aromas of lime, lavender, a pinch of cinnamon, and a touch of hops. The inhale accentuates the lime and lavender, while the exhale is more of a spicy, earthy flavor. The smoke is thin and refreshing, making it easy for most to take a big hit and hold it.

One unique characteristic of Jet Fuel is its creeping onset. Don't be fooled by the initial calm; give it a good 5 minutes and brace yourself for the lift-off. Once it hits, expect an invigorating buzz that'll have you cleaning the house or diving into creative pursuits. This is perfect for when you need fuel to code, landscape, shoot hoops, whatever.

On two different occasions, while writing this review, I caught myself accidentally doing something more productive than writing about terpenes on the internet. I might have the best organized beer fridge in the neighborhood now. After that the high settles into a more relaxed, but still energetic, state with a light body buzz that sustains for a bit but does wear off relatively quickly in my opinion.

Genealogy and Composition

Jet Fuel's lineage traces back to the blending of Aspen OG and High Country Diesel, intertwining their best features into a powerful hybrid. With total cannabinoids at 22.43% and a total THCA of 22.10%, this strain is a first-class ticket to a vibrant and energetic day.

This blend of terpenes includes Caryophyllene, Linalool, and Limonene which is the same terpene profile as strains like OK Kush, Grandaddy Purple, and Girl Scout Cookies. Together, these terpenes create a complex and multi-layered aromatic and flavor profile, contributing to both the strain's unique scent and potential therapeutic properties. The combination provides a balance of uplifting and relaxing effects making it suitable for those seeking both energy and calm. Though subjective, the smell and taste of this batch are a 5/5 in my opinion. I love a good working Sativa.

Blast Off

Overall, Jet Fuel scores a solid 3-4 on my rating scale. It has a solid sugary coating of trichomes, bright green nugs, and the high is exactly what you expect from Jet Fuel. Its complex profile of terpenes and cannabinoids, combined with a unique onset and refreshing smoke makes it a must-try for those who lean on the Sativa side of life.

I can't give this a 5 because this is not the dampest bud I've ever had. It's not unforgivably dry and cracking but it's not dank either. For various reasons, this is kind of the curse I've been finding in THCa, but it always helps to have a Boveda pack and an airtight container on hand which will help revitalize and keep your bud fresh.

I had to revisit this strain recently due to some discussion online about the latest Jet Fuel batch from Arete being sprayed with chemicals or not legitimate flower. I'm not sure where that came from but my experience with this vendor (6+ purchases) has been great. I can say with 100% certainty that this batch is premium THCa flower that has not been sprayed or anything wild like that.
